Sounds to me like you have a personal war going with the person. not for nothing but I think he's right. his language is harsh but in a way I get frustrated by people like you too who fail to see reality and pretend like a Honda is as good as BMW since they don't have extra money to buy a BMW etc.

I'm well known on this board for having no position whatsoever on real estate, neither advocating buying, selling, renting, landlording, living in a cardboard box, or moving out of NYC.

But your elitism is noted, those who can only buy a Honda can't be happy because they need to strive for a BMW.
