I always thought it impossible that troll would be alias for Riversider. Afterall, SE knows the IP of troll -- at the office and at home --and consistently deletes troll. ( I know, hard to believe that in an era of real 17% unemployment, this psychotic would have a job). But SE has never deleted Riversider. And troll doesn't seem to do the research -- and posting of articles-- that Riversider engages in. But recently buyerbuyer and sidelinesitter are displaying the same kind of language and self aggrandizing logic that troll displays and SE does not delete them.

In any case, it is increasingly unpleasant to engage in dialogue on this board. The troll is winning. Although, w67, you really made me laugh on this thread. Thanks.

There is no question that the troll and riversider are one and the same. It is also clear that the troll has systematically created other identities along the way. SE deletes the most obvious troll identities because the troll makes it clear.

It would be unconscionable for SE to allow the a psychotic stalker to exist under other identities on their site just because the troll has enough wherewithal to appear "sane" other under identities. Further, because RS is at least posting hard to find RE research, SE would be remiss to allow a known "unbalanced" person to taint their site by allowing a known stalker to post RE information. The site would lose all credibility.

The site, unfortunately has lost a lot of its appeal to me. Part of it is the troll, part of it is other posters' obsession with him/her, which dilutes the content on here even more.

You find it hard to understand that one discipline requires objective detachment (or at least a clear statement of POV), while the other requires closing deals throughout each and every year? Because I really don't think anyone else has any trouble making out what Apt23 was asking and why. (Fan though I am of Ali.)

The fact is I have never made personal comments about her (prior to this thread, admittedly), and yet she is saying I'm a troll because I disagreed with some statements she made (she does use a lot of hyperbole), and disagreed about making names of buyers public. I don't know why she calls SLS a troll -- he's pretty low key by SE standards, and one of the more reasonable posters on here. There are other cases where she did the same thing. Well, I don't find it hard to understand. What I don't understand is what this question has to do with apt23's kooky post. Fact: Ali used to be journalist. Fact: Ali is now a real estate broker. Fact: these are different jobs. So far I suspect that we are all in agreement. But then apt23's post just falls through the looking glass:

I apologize if I offended Ali -- she has posted great information on this site that I have found useful. I somehow missed the "past tense" of her involvement in journalism as I thought she just recently published a book on real estate. But for what it is worth, it was a legitimate question. There does seem to be an inherent conflict of interest in being a real estate broker/ real estate journalist. In my household we discuss ethics in journalism on a regular basis. I would have loved to have had her answer. But as I understand it now, she is no longer a journalist so that answers the question.
