Saw the video on this unit: http://www.elliman.com/listing/for-sale/manhattan/upper-east-side/the-dunhill--401-east-84-street/401-east-84-street/dunzgac Why is he carrying an unlit cigar throughout the video? And what is with that tag line?
Weak play on the name "Dunhill"?
Might as well don muddy overalls and a straw hat and play on the word 'dunghill'.
By the way, this is the same tool who was inexplicably carrying around a guitar in another video... By the way, who do they hire to shoot these things? Talk about seasick making.
i was disappointed that the video did not feature iman.
I've met Max at an OH or two and he's a very nice knowledgeable broker. I've also seen a few re videos with him in it. All thing considered I think he actually does a good job and I see this a an inexpensive excellent selling tool. Sometimes a cigar is just a cigar.
The homemade quality is reasonable. It's just to peak you interest. I think it works!
And the Oscar goes to Max...
I don't doubt that he's a nice guy. But the puns are just so cheesy . . .
"Stay thirsty for real estate: followed by a sip of OJ?
Groan . . .
NY real estate is full of sharks, I'd be worried about this guy if he was my broker, because he's not enough of a shark.
But I agree, love videos, I've seen a few and they really are helpful.
Iman? I was hoping for David Bowie. Oh, you mean Bacodari. Jacky's got quite a crew going there.
I'm sure this gentleman is a very nice person who means well but what he fails to understand is that a sloppily produced video is more detriment than asset. A badly shot video can actually make the space look worse--smaller, lower-ceiling'd, etc.
Rather than enlisting his assistant/wife/nephew to shoot he should hire someone who knows how to hold the camera steady, frame a shot, and pan, tilt and zoom smoothly. This is not costly--there are some very talented film students out there happy to make a buck.
If that's a bridge too far, then he should stick with professional still shots that show the apartment to its best advantage.
A film student with a wide-angle lens. The lens makes all the difference.
The video does make it look small.
The only thing missing is the tag line "What do I need to do to put in a new LeBaron today."
I don't have the patience to watch the video, but it reminds me of those crappy skits and videos that B-School Students and ladder-climbing corporate drones put together when they're trying to show that their groups are ""creative""
In other news, I was mindlessly paging through the duty-free catalogue on an air-o-plane yesterday and was struck by the oddity of the men's perfume ads ... everyone one of them had a gigantic male model dude headshot with this bizzarro pose, forearm held up vertically and the fingers clenched into a sort of semi-fist, alongside (but not touching) the chin. WTF is that supposed to represent? If sometimes a cigar is really just a cigar, are there other times when the absence of a cigar is really a cigar? I'm just saying.
Sign the petition.
I assumed that's how those handsome square chined men held their hands and posture.
You would never buy a scent with my face as the sales pitch unless it was called 'Euww, what's that'.
Falco, how about "Eau Di Ferous".
Sex Panther -- it's got real bits of panther in it.
Eldorado del Falco Terlet Wawduh.
