the buchanan

lived there for years--numerous friends moved into the bldg after me--nice bldg esp if one works nearby--not for families--tough to garage a car nearby at reasonable cost

Stupid response. A dump is a huge stretch. Good value is spot on. Well renovated and spacious one bedroom for under 3k in prime (if busy) midtown locale.

Plenty of 1 bedrooms in nicer buildings for under $3000/m in a lot nicer buildings in midtown... so it's not a "stupid response".

It's obvious you are a Rental broker.

two thirds of this list are in condo or coop buildings, and at least two more are in walk up buildings. Not everyone wants to (or can) pay extra fee's or pass a board, or wants the insecurity of an owner maybe selling an apartment. But you obviously didn't think of that with your even more stupid response, did you brooks?

as i said, not a dump (dumb) and a good value.

I have to agree with Brooks2 I don't understand the asking prices - they're WAY out of line.

I just moved out of this building and trust me, you don't want to live there. Services have been steadily declining while the rents increase exponentially! The super and doormen are great, but that's it. The ONLY amenity in the building is a courtyard, that used to be lovely but they have removed all the tables and chairs, so the tenants can't even enjoy it anymore - what gives??
