Are you saying the NYC sellers don't mind paying more taxes ? :) This affects the luxury segment and I thought Manhattan is the epicenter of lux living, no ? Then why the hell do I hear brokers keep telling me NYC is the epicenter of lux living ?

You;d be better off spreading bullish propaganda, even if you didn't believe it. If you're wrong and prices go down, you get to buy cheaper, and if you're right, you pay more for your house but at least get the satisfaction of having been "right".
