Discussion about
I am wondering about the standards applied to greying out posters and reinstating them. I see some posters greyed out only for a very short period of time and suddenly reinstated to not being greyed out, whereas the others continue to be greyed out. I am sure you know the poster/s I am talking about. If some of these posters were to be banned from posting permanently, it would make the board more attractive to a wider audience. Is $10 a month revenue too much of a loss for Streeteasy?

You might have gotten a sympathetic ear from SE, until you started to insult them over $10 / month.

Wouldn't they get their advertising revenue based on how many hits they get a day? Wonder if removing their most active members would actually be good for the bottom line? Maybe greying them is their half solution. I wonder how many people read the grey? I tried the other day to poor results.

If you have not figured it out yet, you can ungray whomever you like. I have hb, ar, Alan and w67 to name a few in bold black just as you appear. And I fond there comments most of the time more interesting than yours.

Ottawa, My first question is going from grey to un-greyed. Wondering what it takes SE to un-grey some one?

300: Who knows? I actually initially thought it was when you hit the ignore, so it was self-selecting. Wonder if they actually have a moderator. And Brooks: sorry I do not entertain you sufficiently - it truly is my goal.

There are some funny Canadians. John Candy was my favorite. I miss him. Those aren't pillows.

Don't be so insecure, my comments were not directed towards you. But, that is the point, SE should not pick and choose what comments are best. I

The only ones I can recall being ungreyed are lucille and riversider. if I recall, lucille had a particularly lurid interchange with cc but contacted Matt and promised to reform and was reinstated. RS just reappeared for no apparent, or good (in my opinion), reason.

I always read the greys. If I didn't I wouldn't be long Sprint at $2.70. "The greys are dead. Long live the greys."

And that was before lucille had her interchanges with Jim Hones. Something seems strange about columbiacounty and Jim Hones.

I was ungreyed. But I was only greyed because a particular hypocrite (who was doing everything he complained about) went after me. I missed an e-mail from them, otherwise it wouldn't have happened... but once I found it, it was all good.

>because a particular hypocrite

most hypocrites are particular, how else would they distinguish themselves from the other hypocrites?
