A new lottery on Gates Avenue in Bed-Stuy is now open. This Google Street View image the building was taken in Nov. 2017.

An affordable housing lottery for 20 studios was just announced at a new development at 500 Gates Ave. in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Qualified applicants must make 60 percent of the area median income, or between $24,720 and $43,860 annually in order to qualify.

The building was developed under NYC’s Supportive Housing Loan Program. 

According to YIMBY, the building will offer 68 apartments, each measuring approximately 595 square feet. The size of each apartment will be offset  by shared space in the building, such as kitchens, laundry, recreational space and meeting rooms.
