Scaramucci Looks to Trade Water Mill House for Waterfront Property

Scaramucci built a new house, but he already wants something different.

Changes come fast with hedge-fund founder Anthony Scaramucci. He had a high-profile stint as White House communications director from which he flamed out after just 10 days. He was also close to divorce from his wife, but patched things up in time for them to buy a new construction in the Hamptons.

Now, reports say the Long Island native is looking to bail on the $8.2 million home he bought and customized nine months ago in Water Mill. According to the New York Post, Scaramucci and his wife will instead look for something on the water.

Scaramucci’s initial Hamptons house was constructed by Farrell Building. The 7,000-square-foot home has 7 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms, a double-height foyer, open living area, and basement gym. It was listed for sale for $7.45 million, but the Post says upgrades pushed the final price tag to $8.2 million.

Scaramucci has apparently had a change of heart after the sale of SkyBridge Capital, the investment firm he founded, fell through last month after being stalled by regulators. He’ll stay on as a co-managing partner and reportedly got a chunk of change in the aftermath — which may explain his newly heightened taste in Hamptons real estate.
