Five newly renovated units in East Harlem are being made available through an affordable housing lottery. Located at 230 East 124th Street, the apartments will range from studios to 1 and 2 bedrooms. There are 20 total units in the building.
To qualify, eligible applicants must earn 60 percent of the area median income, which ranges from $29,276 for single persons up to $57,240 for households of 4 people. Rents are set at $867; $931 and $1,123. By comparison, market-rate rents for these units at 230 E. 124th St. range between $2,500 to about $3,000.
Amenities include bike storage and a sun terrace.

Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than Oct. 11, 2017.
