The massive West 4th Street subway station is two blocks away — a distance renters will especially appreciate on the weekends, when the area gets more lively.

The interiors of the apartment are basic, but there’s nothing wrong with them. Large windows in every room, hardwood floors and clean finishes give the place a bright look and feel.

Why it’s a deal: The price of this apartment knocks comparable listings out of the park. It’s priced $675 below the median rent for a Manhattan 1-bedroom, and an astounding $1,425 below the median rent for similar apartments in Greenwich Village.
