Best feature: This apartment is perfect for roommates seeking an affordable, no-frills launch pad for life in New York City. Split between three people, the monthly rent would come to about $1,066 each — practically unheard of in this part of town. The location offers direct access to the neighborhood’s round-the-clock bars and restaurants (there are a couple of good ones right around the corner) and the June 1 move-in date practically screams out to the graduating class of 2019.

Why it’s a deal: At $3,200, the apartment is priced more than $2,000 below the median rent for 3-bedrooms in Midtown West. The median for 3-bedrooms across Manhattan is $5,273, too, so any way you cut it, you’re getting a deal.

Biggest drawback: In New York City, you get what you pay for, and this apartment is no exception. According to the floor plan, there is not a single closet in the whole apartment. And with few cabinets and a near-total lack of counter space, the kitchen is highly impractical for cooking. But hey, you don’t move in here to cook — 10th Avenue and its wealth of affordable eateries is just around the corner.
