Many spotted furniture being lifted up to a penthouse home atop the Standish in Brooklyn Heights. The haul reportedly included several trees to landscape the unit’s expansive terrace. When the building opened its doors in 1903, it was known as the Standish Arms Hotel, offering “understated luxury in an era of opulent mansions.” Coincidentally, the Williamsburg Bridge made its debut that same year, creating new accessibility to Brooklyn.
