Mott Haven Affordable Housing Lottery Offers 163 Apts

Crossroads Plaza, a new development in the Mott Haven section of the Bronx, is ready to start accepting applications for 163 apartments. The development at 828 East 149th Street is seeking eligible applicants across a wide spectrum of income levels for homes starting at $788 per month. The deadline to apply is Oct. 30, 2017.

According to a lottery announcement on the NYC Housing Connect site, eligible applicants can earn at 60 percent, 100 percent, 110 percent and 120 percent of the area median income, which means the majority of these units are for households earning as much as $29,349 for a single person, all the way up to $143,910 for a 6-person household.

The charts below show the income ranges and rent costs across the entire complex. These requirements make Crossroads Plaza an affordable housing lottery opportunity for a varied group of eligible applicants.

 

Amenities in the new development from Newman Design include: In-unit dishwashers, green roof, resident playground, community room, laundry room, parking lot, granite countertops, Energy Star appliances, energy-efficient light fixtures, and water views.

Online applications can be made through the NYC Housing Connect site. To request an application by mail, send a self-addressed envelope to: Crossroads I Plaza, 87-14 116th Street, Richmond Hill, NY, 11418. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than Oct. 30, 2017.
