A new lottery has just opened up for affordably-priced apartments in Brooklyn. The new Alhambra Lofts development at 783 Knickerbocker Ave. is going to lease 12 units at monthly rates ranging from $1,850 for a studio up to $2,470 for 2-bedrooms.

Eligible applicants are middle-income earners whose annual salaries are at 130 percent of the area median income. That range starts at $63,429 for a single person up to $138,710 for a 4-person household. The chart below breaks down all eligibility requirements.

The Alhambra Luxury Lofts are fully renovated with floor-to-ceiling windows, 16-foot ceilings, large bedrooms, integrated lighting, hardwood floors and unique layouts.
The new rental development springs from the former Alhambra Theatre dating to 1914. The Bushwick theater was home to vaudeville acts, and later was the site of a grocery store and an education center.
