A new Flatbush rental development at 824 E. New York Ave. is making 28 apartments available to middle-income earners via a new affordable housing lottery. The 7-story building is called the Ensemble, and contains a total of 74 apartments.
Eligible applicants must earn 130 percent of the area median income, which ranges from $61,715 for a single person up to $135,590 for a household of 4 persons. Rental rates will range from $1,800 for a studio; $2,200 for a 1-bedroom and $2,600 for a 2-bedroom unit.

Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 8, 2019.
The building features amenities such as a gym, rooftop lounge, virtual doorman, parking garage and washer/dryers in each unit.
