Why You’ll Love It…

This unit is one of 20 in the building, which is a unique conversion of pre-war apartments. The renovations really shine in the kitchen, which is one of the first things you’ll see upon entering the unit through a long hallway. Outfitted with lots of cabinetry and gorgeous white countertops, the kitchen has plenty of space for storage and food prep. Among the stainless steel appliances are a stacked refrigerator, mounted microwave, and dishwasher. As if that’s not enough, you’ll also find a washer/dryer in the kitchen! There’s also a closet on the other side of the peninsula.

One of the best things about this unit is the amount of light it gets. There are windows in every room, including the kitchen, bathroom, and both bedrooms. The living area and the primary bedroom both have multiple windows facing west, the second bedroom and the bathroom have east-facing windows, and the kitchen’s window faces north. In other words, you should never be short of natural light in this apartment.

Every room of the apartment has gorgeous hardwood floors, except for the bathroom, which has been updated with subway tile and matte black hardware.

As far as location, you can’t ask for a more convenient one: just across the street from the Parkside Avenue entrance of Prospect Park, through the Parade Grounds and soccer fields. Plus, the B and Q trains stop at Church Avenue (less than 500 feet away), so getting in and out of the neighborhood should be easy — but with the park right outside your door, why leave? The pet-friendly building also has an expansive rooftop deck shared by residents, as well as a bike room.

…And Why You Might Not

The smaller of the two bedrooms unfortunately doesn’t have a closet, meaning this isn’t a “true” 2-bedroom apartment. Because it’s smaller, it might work better as an office, as it’s staged in the listing. The building also doesn’t have an elevator, but fortunately, this unit appears to be on the second floor.

If you’re looking for a 2-bedroom condo in the Prospect Park area, be sure to check this one out!
