Yorkville is always a good place to find good value. This Upper East Side enclave is reliably more affordable than its neighboring UES submarkets, like Carnegie Hill and Lenox Hill. Our Rental of the Week is a perfect example. This Yorkville 2BR offers two queen-size bedrooms, a brand-new kitchen with dishwasher, and even in-unit laundry, all for under $2,000. And it’s really cute, too!

Address: 345 E. 92nd St. #5A

Price: $1,995

Size: 2-bedroom

Neighborhood: Yorkville

Best feature: You’re getting so much for your money here. This Yorkville 2BR has a lot of added value, starting with the in-unit washer/dryer. That hot commodity is in the newly renovated kitchen, which also includes a full-size fridge and drawer dishwasher hidden behind custom cabinetry. Crown molding and exposed brick details provide character, while a wireless Sonos sound system is a super-modern touch.

In addition, the bedrooms are on opposite sides of the apartment for privacy. (And if you do choose to share with a roommate, think of the rent savings — less than $1K each!) The bathroom is small but nicely remodeled, with a glass-walled corner walk-in shower.

Our Rental of the Week is nicely located too, super-close to the Q train at Second Avenue and lots of shopping and restaurants. Plus it’s just a couple blocks from two fantastic neighborhood features: the 92nd Street Y and the Asphalt Green sports and recreation facilities.

Why it’s a deal: The median asking rent on the Upper East Side is $2,400, according to the StreetEasy Data Dashboard. And for a UES 2BR specifically, it’s a steep $3,063. That puts our Rental of the Week at about $400 per month below average for the area, and more than $1,000 per month below average for two bedrooms. We’d definitely call that a deal.

Biggest drawback: The listing for this Yorkville 2BR does not provide square footage, nor a floor plan. So it’s hard to tell exactly what size it is — but it certainly isn’t huge. And from the photos, it appears that the only windows are in the bedrooms, which means no natural light in the common living/kitchen area. It’s also a walkup. However, this is a very cute space with a whole lot of pluses. And at this price, you can consider keeping the whole thing for yourself and use the second bedroom as a pretty enviable home office.
