Zosia Mamet and her crew from the cast of “Girls” might be most associated with Bushwick warehouse parties and budget rentals, but in real life the actress owns a very adult 2-bedroom apartment on the Upper West Side. She and husband Evan Jonigkeit purchased the co-op for $1.6 million back in 2015, after relocating from Bushwick. Now, though, the couple seems to have moved on: The unit is available to rent for $5,000 per month.
The apartment is located on the ground floor of a classic, Upper West Side prewar co-op and has none of the pink flourishes you’d expect of Mamet’s character on “Girls.” Instead, it impresses with an understated marble bathroom, sensible storage space, nicely maintained wainscoting and a stunning private garden.
The Rosario Candela-designed building is about as Upper West Side as it gets, offering a full-time doorman, a fancy lobby and a location close to Symphony Space and Riverside Park.
The property was first listed on Oct. 30 and has already received a 11.5 percent reduction in price. Why not pounce? The price isn’t bad, the unit is lovely, and we certainly don’t hate the idea of having Shosh as our landlord.
