16 East 84th Street

16 East 84 was built by the King family in 1900. The houses at 18 and 20 were built shortly thereafter and together with 16 they comprised three houses inspired by three London townhouses. The illustrious New York interior designer, Ogden Codman most likely designed the gracious staircase in the lobby as well as grill work on the entry doors.

The condominium is in great shape with new boiler, newly repainted facades and soon to be repaired Doric columns at front entrance.
