About
Built in 1928 as a co-op, 160 East 72nd Street is a coveted full service building with mainly full floor apartments. Located between Lexington and Third Ave and in the Upper East Side Historic District, the building is known as one of the great “sleeper” buildings. It was built by Kingdon Gould, a grandchild of the Robber Baron, Jay Gould, with a triplex penthouse on top for his family. The architects were Taylor and Levi and have many works listed on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places.
