About
The 42 Wooster building is an 1883 cast-iron building designed by Jarvis Morgan Slade.
This building was joined with 50 Wooster to form The Wooster Street Condominium in the late 1990s. The two buildings were renovated together in the mid 1990’s by Lawrence B. Bogdanow, an architect and longtime SoHo resident. Many of the famed cast-iron and loft attributes were saved through a unique partnership with the Landmarks commission that allowed for stores on the ground floor (currently a gym, hair salon, and furniture store) and new penthouse units on top of each building.
