Architect, Norris G Starkweather 1886, converted to a residential co-operative in 1980, landmarked in 1996, 11 floors, 41 units, common roof deck, on-site super. video security, storage. A Queen Anne-style building, iron-framed red brick and brownstone-colored terra cotta, the elaborately detailed structure is called the Potter Building, after the real estate investor and politician Orlando B. Potter, who commissioned its construction in the mid-1880’s.
The ground level load bearing walls are 40 inches thick.
