About Riverdale

Once a summer retreat for square-footage-seeking New Yorkers, Riverdale combines leafy streets, spacious homes, waterfront parks, and a suburban feel with access to the rest of the city. Many of its large, cliffside estates and Tudor-style mansions overlooking the Hudson River and the Palisades still remain, lending an upscale, polished atmosphere to the neighborhood's windy streets. But there's more to go around in Riverdale than palatial abodes: the Bronx nabe also features many co-op complexes, which offer more affordable housing options among the same easy, bucolic pace of life. Rental prices are reasonable, too, and well below those of Manhattan and Brooklyn.
