Arlyne Blitz

One of Corcoran's founding brokers, Arlyne has sold properties ranging from classic prewars on Central Park West, to townhouses on the Gold Coast of the Village, from lofts in Tribeca, to river view homes in One Beacon Court, from stunning penthouses downtown, to riverfront condos in Dumbo and Williamsburg.  Arlyne has been a West Village expert for 30 years, has sold 90% of the apartments at 35 Bethune Street in the prime West Village, multiple WV apartments at 99 Jane Street and in the Bing and Bing buildings, and in hundreds of buildings in Mamhattan.  Born and raised in Brooklyn, Arlyne attended the High School of Performing Arts for Dance, while taking classes at Ballet Arts, the American School of Ballet, the New Dance Group and the Martha Graham School.  After graduating from Performing Arts, she attended Brooklyn College and then Adelphi University and majored in psychology. 

Her career started in sales promotion at Siebel Mohr Associates, and then at Comart Aniforms, where she managed all aspects of the business.  One of her responsibilities was renting out excess office space when the company had expanded too quickly, and thus began her Real Estate career.  After starting in a small defunct agency, she quickly found her way to the Corcoran Group when it first started and when Barbara Corcoran held the vice presidents' dinners around one large table!

She is now an Associate Broker, and has many years of experience of every kind in working with buyers and sellers and getting the deals closed.  She enjoys working with many different kinds of people, and making sure that their needs, and desires, are met.  She says that with patience and an understanding of how difficult and life altering the process can be for the people involved, she makes a real contribution, and her customers seem to really appreciate the care.

In her time away from the office, she love the arts, and loves to travel.  She'se been on 4 continents, and plan on making that 5 this coming year.  A born and bred New Yorker, she loves all the exciting elements that make living here so special and unique. 

For several years, she volunteered with the Development School for Youth, part of the All Stars Project, helping inner city youth navigate the world of business in NYC.  After several months of workshops with business leaders, each student earns a paid internship with one of the companies for the summer.  Many end up working where they intern, but for all, it is an invaluable experience.
