Brian is an Upper Manhattan real estate broker specializing in Morningside Heights, Harlem, Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights, Hudson Heights, and Inwood. He serves clients throughout Manhattan and the Bronx, including Riverdale, and extends his reach to Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island, and the Hudson Valley.

With 19 years at Douglas Elliman and nearly three decades as a licensed broker, Brian Phillips brings deep market knowledge and broad transactional experience to New York City real estate. As an Associate Broker at one of the largest brokerages in the New York metropolitan area, he is well positioned to advise clients across a wide range of property types and market conditions.

Brian is licensed with Douglas Elliman’s Corporate Office in Midtown Manhattan and maintains multi-office licensure spanning New York City and the surrounding suburbs. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York’s (REBNY) Residential Listing Service (RLS), the Hudson Gateway Association of REALTORS® (HGAR), and the Long Island Board of REALTORS® (LIBOR) for OneKey Multiple Listing Service (MLS), providing seamless access to both urban and suburban markets.

His industry leadership includes service on numerous committees and boards, including REBNY’s Education and Residential Brokerage Membership Committees, and HGAR’s Professional Standards, Fair Housing, Global Business Council, and Commercial Investment Division Committees. Brian has also served as Co-Chair of REBNY’s Residential Upper Manhattan Committee, a Board Director at HGAR, and an Advisory Board Member of HGAR’s Bronx Chapter.

Brian’s commitment to professional excellence is reflected in his attainment of more than ten National Association of REALTORS® designations, including Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Commitment to Excellence (C2EX), Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS), and Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR).

In addition to client service, Brian is deeply involved in real estate advocacy and industry leadership. He is the 2025 Agent of the Year for the Real Estate Board of New York, an honor recognizing exceptional professionalism, sustained industry involvement, leadership, and commitment to community.

He serves as a Board Director at the New York State Association of REALTORS® and was the 2024 Chair of the NYC Issues Working Group within its Legislative Steering Committee, where he continues to serve. Brian is also the 2024 New York State Finance Leader for the Residential Real Estate Council (RRC) and the 2025 President of the New York State Residential Real Estate Council. A Major Investor in the Realtor Political Action Committee (RPAC), he plays an active role in shaping state-level housing and real estate policy, helping clients understand regulatory changes and how they affect the market.

Brian is actively involved in chambers of commerce across and participates in national real estate organizations including the Women’s Council of REALTORS®, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, the Asian Real Estate Association of America, FIABCI-USA, the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals, and the Canadian Real Estate Association.

His community leadership includes serving on the Harlem YMCA’s Achievers in Industry Steering Committee and being a proud Freemason, reflecting his commitment to mentorship and service beyond real estate.

Outside of real estate, Brian enjoys spending time with family, community involvement, biking, tennis, and staying active.
