New York is the concentrate of art and commerce and sport and religion and entertainment and finance, bringing to a single compact arena the gladiator, the evangelist, the promoter, the actor, the trader and the merchant. It carries on its lapel the unexpungeable odor of the long past, so that no matter where you sit in New York you feel the vibrations of great times and tall deeds, of queer people and events and undertakings.

This quote is from E.B. Whites essay, Here is New York. Though it was originally published over 60 years ago, this simple, clear piece continues to capture the essence of our dynamic city, likely because White walked, lived and learned every inch of every neighborhood in Manhattan before sitting down to write. The duty of a real estate broker is no different. To provide clarity in an ever-changing marketplace like no other in the world, to best advise and educate clients, a brokers knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, New York City must be commensurate with the citys size and scope. In real estate, as in any industry, there is no substitute for passionate expertise.

As a focused, results-driven professional, my dedication to the unique needs of my clientele has been cultivated by prior experience. I began my career in the service industry as an employee benefits specialist at a major financial advisory firm in Boston. I later relocated to the Hudson Valley, where my passion for property was inspired by the areas rich history and architecture, and I began my brokerage career by founding a property management business that concentrated on the needs of antique and estate homes.

At TOWN, in conjunction with my partner Andrew Azoulay, we firmly believe that a collaborative, win-win approach to deal-making is the only way to create results that benefit all parties to a transaction. I personally specialize in seller and buyer advisory practice in pre-war co-ops (Bing & Bing buildings are amongst my favorite), condos and townhomes in downtown Manhattan and North Brooklyn. I particularly enjoy the opportunity to roll up my sleeves and create value for as-is spaces in need of special attention. From my first exclusive sales listing a wrecked Lenox Hill co-op requiring much imaginative preparation and creative marketing, which I placed under contract above both the asking price and all recent sales of comparable units featuring complete renovations I have achieved record results while representing all sides of a transaction. I have negotiated favorable long-term leases in luxury Tribeca condo lofts, sourced pied-a-terre homes for discerning buyers, marketed development sites and represented building lease-ups for investors, aiming to tackle each transaction's complexities with tenacity and ingenuity.

I live in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, where I serve as the superintendent of my building. I was born in Boston, attended St. Marks School in Southborough, MA, and graduated from Bard College. Outside of real estate, I enjoy playing music (and have been lucky enough to perform around the world, from Shanghai to Jamaica to Alaska), skiing, biking through the streets of the City, writing, reading, and pursuing my one other true love, classic cars. I welcome questions about my practice and experience and am always accessible via phone and e-mail.
