Mirella Afonso

Mirella came to Manhattan real estate sales and rentals with a diverse and accomplished background in the worlds of fashion, events, PR, branding, sales and client service. She has enjoyed an outstanding reputation as a leading salesperson and successful business woman who ultimately ran her own PR firm, weaving together the energy of Manhattan and the Brazilian “fullness of life” attitude. Born in Uberaba, Minas Gerais, Mirella came to New York in 1998. She attended Fashion Institute of Technology, and worked for America Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Brazilian Designers, as well as in sales and PR for Carlos Miele. Her own company, BlaBlaBla NYC, got three of its clients on Vogue’s 1000 Most Influential Brazilians (New York) list, which reflects the fact that Mirella can do anything she sets her mind and creativity to…and she does it well. Mirella was drawn to real estate following in her father’s footsteps. As an investor and owner of several buildings and commercial properties, he inspired her to acquire properties of her own and help clients succeed in their endeavors. As an agent, Mirella has a natural way of making people feel special and well cared for with her highly attentive, motivated, enthusiastic and proactive approach. A New York City resident of nearly 20 years, Mirella resides in Murray Hill. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Primary Education from Colegio Oswaldo Cruz, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Advertising with concentrations in Marketing and Communications from Universidad de Uberaba, and a degree in Fashion Design from FIT. Mirella speaks fluent English, Spanish and Portuguese, and serves an international clientele including Brazilians. She loves people, exercising, nature, fashion, restaurants and life.
