James Rubio has worked in real estate for over five years, adding to that his overlapping 12 years of experience as the super/property manager for his family's Brooklyn rental properties. He has seen and learned a lot, from maintenance issues to neighborhood changes, garnering an understanding of buildings and deep knowledge of the market. James loves all areas of his Brooklyn territory, from Boerum Hill to Bushwick and beyond. Whether brownstones, limestones, or modern construction, he handles various types of properties in all price ranges, and is intent on finding clients the home of their dreams. As for his approach, it is extremely thorough, pragmatic, detailed and prepared. James likes to research and show all the comps, stats and trends to his clients so they can make the most informed decisions. "The best investment on earth is earth," he believes. "I love to connect buyers and sellers. It's all about finding the common ground, setting realistic goals, and doing the hard work so my clients don't have to." Prior to real estate, James honed his interpersonal skills in the service industry/restaurant business. He is passionate about helping people as well as design, which made real estate a natural fit for him. James also creates paintings and has had a few international art showers. He grew up in California, attended art school in Chicago, and then came to New York to follow his dreams. A native of California, James has lived in NYC for the last 15+ years.
