Jim’s clients benefit from his more than 25 years of experience in marketing and relationship building in NYC. He has aligned his passion for real estate and design with his business acumen and client-first philosophy to connect his clients with the right property and/or the right buyers to fulfill their real estate dreams. Known and trusted for his concise and comprehensive communication, can-do attitude and unbridled work ethic, Jim will not be outworked in his quest to successfully buy and sell NYC real estate for clients who demand and deserve the best.
His passion for NYC real estate runs deep. Jim purchased, renovated and sold his first NYC co-op in Forest Hills, Queens and quickly became obsessed with real estate and smitten with Forest Hills Gardens and its architectural significance. Jim then bought and renovated a historic pre-cast concrete stucco townhouse, designed by Grosvenor Atterbury, and spent more than a decade living in Forest Hills Gardens.
From an early age, Jim inherently recognized opportunities for real estate and where the intersection of the property and design meet to escalate value. He experienced many evenings working with his parents reviewing architectural plans and designs for the homes they lived in during his childhood — four in total. His parents were open to a 15-year-old insisting they remove a wall to open a staircase, which allowed the space to live larger and better accommodate a stairwell for a large and busy family. Whether it’s family or clients, Jim can be trusted for sound design and property advice to help everyone live well.
In his personal life, Jim and his husband enjoy exploring restaurants, theater and outdoor activities in NYC. On weekends, they enjoy the tranquility of the Hudson Valley with their rescue dog, Tuck, in their1850’s farmhouse. Jim’s passions include travel, hiking, interior design and art. He is noted for his collection of Nantucket art, which you can find hanging throughout their home.
Originally from Northwest, Indiana, Jim earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Organizational Communications and Public Relations from Purdue University. Prior to real estate, Jim spent more than 25 years working with some of the world’s most iconic brands leading their marketing & loyalty teams. Jim considers New York his home and can’t imagine living life anywhere else.
