Transportation:
20- 30 Minutes subway to Manhattan. You can take M train without transfer to the city which I recommend. It is about 10 minutes walking from the apartment. You can also walk 3 — 4 minutes to the bus station take Bus Q54 or B38 then transfer L train to the city. Both M and L trains run every 5 minutes.
