Constructed in 1988 by developer William Zeckendorf, Jr., Worldwide Plaza, with its grand, Post-Modern design, was an ambitious project that served as a major catalyst for the midtown revitalization of 8th Avenue. Today, Worldwide Plaza is among the most distinguished luxury developments in Clinton/Midtown West.

Occupying an entire city block, from 49th to 50th between 8th and 9th Avenues, Worldwide Plaza is most easily recognized by its 50-story commercial office tower with a signature copper pyramid top known as “David’s Diamond,” after architect David Childs.
