Stay away! The landlords of this building recently bought 719 8th (and the building next door) and immediately started turfing people out. There are a lot of empty apartments there, and the tenants who remain are worried and upset. The units being put on the market now aren't worth anywhere near the asking price. They want $4,700 for a 2.5 bedroom that was last rented for $2,700. The building has been known to have rats, and recently the basement storage space for strollers flooded with sewage.
