Using a specific person not found by GC

I am discussing my renovation with a general contractor used by my architect. However, there are a few things I want done by particular people. For example I really want a specialty wood floor installer. How does one negotiate this with a GC and have it excluded from the price (will be a significant cost and I really want to choose the person myself). The floors are the one thing I never want to deal with again in my lifetime nor in my children's.
