When will the giant ponzi scheme that is the US economy finally unravel?

When will America's (a) massive budget deficits financed by the sale of US treasuries to foreigners, (b) sky-high trade deficits and current account deficits, (c) unrestrained money-printing, (d) sinking dollar, (e) ceaseless expenditures on foreign wars, (f) low-levels of personal savings combined with massive consumer debt and (g) profligate spending ways finally bring down the giant ponzi scheme that is the US economy?

When? Never mind recovery?

Everyone should sell their stationary homes, and buy trailor-homes so they can be agile, mobile players in the global economy 2.0, and move the next country, wherever it is, to live and get employment. Also, people should stop hounding their kids to study math and spelling and chemistry and geography and such, and make sure they have the dexterity to fill a bushel of strawberries fast enough to make a decent wage, so they will have something to wire back to the USA, from whatever country they emigrate to to make a living.

The Times THEY Are A Changin..Get ready.

Mchale there is one point that screams out for clarification.

Are you proposing that we cease our expenditures on foreign wars? Then,,,,uh...how would we fight the foreign wars?? This stuff ain't free.

If everyone turned off CNBC the world would be a much less misinformed place.

The fundamental rot that is at the core of our economy has not been removed, nor have any viable solutions (of which there may not be any other than time and pain) been promulgated.

RR1 must be SteveF, since SteveFool only gets his information from CNBC.

The funniest part of this is that its the guy who said there would be NO DECLINE and NO ECONOMIC CRISIS that has fashioned himself as the expert on when it ends!

SteveF said a YEAR AGO to buy because folks would be "stampeding" to buy.

We're talking about a guy who said BUY at the absolute peak.

Why on earth would anyone listen to him trying to say "buy" now?
