east 62nd street

Tons of noise and traffic. The upper level of the 59th street bridge exits right there so traffic is always an issue. And the "sidewalk" alongside the bridge exit between 61st and 62nd street unfortunately has a rat problem and lazy dog owners like to bring there dogs there so they wont have to clean up. During weekends, the theatre crowd and the B&T crowd at Merchants walk up and down the block. But services arent too bad with several restaurants and the subway within a few short blocks.

63rd street is where the majority of the traffic goes off the bridge to. The other traffic on 62nd st only gets busy close to 1st, not 2nd, as that traffic is directed east, not west. If the apt is on a low floor near 1st ave. then you may notice it a bit, but not near 2nd. I dont hear horns and I dont live on a high floor. There is a ton of resteraunts, movie theatres, etc right there and we always have things to do in the area.
