Discussion about
Hi! Has anyone had a great selling/buying experience in the Columbia/Morningside area? If yes, can you say who your broker was?
Klara Madlin and Rick Wohlfarth are reliable brands with excellent reputations.
Ali (Front_Porch) is moving to the area, but her focus might still be downtown.
I'll check them out. Thanks!
Halstead is the only major firm that still has an office above 110th street, for what its worth.
Prudential Douglas Elliman has a large, active office at West 117th & Frederick Douglass Boulevard (8th Avenue).
I used Philip Horigan SVP at Corcoran. I recommend him.
I'm not working up there now, though I may change my mind ...we did almost buy something that was repped by Daniel Ebalo of Bellmarc, and I thought that he was a pretty straight-up guy -- and I like Klara, don't know Rick or Philip.

I stand corrected, Pru and Halstead are the only two majors left in Harlem...although I doubt either is very "active" these days...
Wohlfarth is excellent--extremely knowledgable about the area, and has specific insights into many buildings, coop boards, cultures, financials, etc. Also, very responsive and down to earth. Can't say enough good things about them.
Anybody has had any experience with a broker in this area by the name Kevin Burke?
I used Daniel Ebalo of Bellmarc for awhile as a selling broker a couple of years ago, and would very highly recommend him for buy-side guidance. He lives in Morningside Heights and knows the area and its buildings very well.
