Discussion about
Hi everyone - I signed a 1 year lease to rent a condo in a luxury building. I had to pay about 1500 for the condo board application, processing, and such fees. Does anyone know- when the lease is up.. do I have to go through the entire condo board application/fees procedure again?

no, you do not. There might be a small ($150 or so) fee to process the lease renewal, but that's usually borne by the owner.

You shouldn't have to pay anything else.

I'm surprised the initial fees were so much. In our doorman condo building, there's a $250 application fee that includes screening reports, processing, etc. You are require to leave a check for $1000 as a damage deposit for move-in/out, but that's returned in full if there's no damage.

I paid a $1000 processing fee, a $250 background check fee, and a $250 waiver fee (All 3 non refundable)

Would the fee to process the renew the lease be $1000 again?
