Discussion about
Can anybody recommend an attorney who has experience negotiating with the NYAG on behalf of purchasers of new construction condos which have experienced extreme delays? If anybody knows who the TriBeca Space purchasers used, that would be great.

one does not negotiate with the ag. you are a citizen -- they work for the state. you file a complaint -- they work on complaints -- they are not your atty for civil suits -- they deal with issues.

the only way you negotiate with the AG is in criminal matters. If you want to negotiate with the developer, then you need to hire your own attorney.

unless there was fraud or the like invovled, there is really nothing the AG can do.

You don't need a lawyer to contact the AG. Find the appropriate bureau and speak to someone there about the best way to proceed. Take it from there.

AG's office is usually eager to jump in if there is something potentially illegal to investigate, but you need to frame it accurately and with facts that demonstrate a potential violation of the law.
