any insights on where prices will open this summer ? it bubbled big in recent years and held firm in 08. wondering whether hamptons are the parallel or whether it is its own market given largely gay demographic and limited housing stock.

ha i got called! wow. we rent a house and did our lease last year so it's set now but it is still pretty cheap. i think the housing market out there was already tanking last summer. i can't imagine it is anything but bleak when it comes to sales.

we rent too but i was looking to buy last summer -- joys of ownership and all that -- and it will be interesting to see if brokers and sellers remain in deep denial.
