You can look up ANY NYC apartment building to see what violations it has had and when by individual unit. I WISH I known about this before moving here! DEFINITE must if you are moving into a tenement bldg, though some major doorman ones are in here too. If your bldg is NOT here its because the violations are over a decade old or they have none. http://www.nyc.gov/html/hpd/html/pr/violation.shtml
