Looking to rent a 2br / 2 bath on UWS for $4K

Our rental is coming up for renewal end of July. We are on 90th now and don't want to be so high. Prefer 70s or 80s (up to 86th). A nice doorman building would be great, but willing to consider brownstone. Did a search on SE but nothing really caught my attention. I keep hearing rents are down a lot but don't see it in listings either here or Craigslist. Checked out apartments in the immediate area (sagamore, greystone) and they are asking over $5k a month for 2br/2bath Something like that, but a few blocks south, for $4K would be perfect. Suggestions?

most brokers will probably not show you apartments unless you can sign a lease before June 15th. I was told "it's too soon and everything we see won't be available by the time you rent."

LOL torinyc - perhaps your broker is not aware of the listings that have been sitting for months and months, and well, more months.

Look at Brodsky. They are a no-fee manager, have a few properties on the Upper West Side.
