Would you recommend buying now as a first time buyer spending under 700K? Interest rates are low and prices have already dropped quite a bit.

If you plan on staying in the place for at least 5 years, have steady income, and can put a sufficient downpayment down I would consider it. There is a lot of inventory. Just take your time and make sure you love the place. Also, make sure you find a good attorney and really carefully evaluate the building's financials. You also get the $8,000 first time home buyer credit. Good Luck.
