Discussion about
then why not put your money where your mouths are and double down? and brokers if condos are such a steal why not buy the place for yourself or as an investment property? Or have members of your family get in on the "great deal" before they "are priced out"? I have vote with my feet and am still a better, oops I mean bitter, renter. Maybe in 8-12 months I will be a bottom-feeder.

interesting cfranch, but be careful what you wish for. Realtors, in general, not being a real bright group are an excellent counter trend indicator. They, in disproportionate numbers owned multiple condos around the Country at the peak. If they are silent and not buying...hmmm...hmmm..

patient09, maybe they're just broke. paying all those taxes and cc's on apartments they can't sell or rent out.

i see cc had the same thought. brevity can be a virtue.

Last time around I knew plenty of brokers who bought into condos in 87 and got stuck holding them for years. I'd be willing to bet there are plenty of brokers right now with rather hefty deposits down on a lot of projects. I guess what I'm saying is you may be arguing facts not in evidence.

Remember, these are the same idiots who said we hit bottom a year ago.

I'm not joking, SteveF actually said "buy before the stampede" over a year ago.

bigger point is, I'm not sure they actually believe it... I think they just spend all day posting it over and over again to make it decline 4% instead of 5% this month.
