Ignore media reports and the growing number of economists who say the economy is slowly improving. Stay home, do not spend your disposable income. This will force the country into a deeper recession and inevitably lower Manhattan housing prices. If anyone says we are already beyond the point that would make us mirror Japan's economy, tell them it is not over yet. I am sick of the inaccurate positive news. We are still in a deep recession and things are going to get worse.
I am confused. Are you saying you want the country to go into a deeper recession?
Yes, no more positive news, it leaves little for the doomers to whine about.
bob - i think it's a sarcastic poke at doom-and-gloomers who don't want to hear/believe anything but the worst.
exit2, were you being sarcastic or does your first name happen to be Osama?
I am being sarcastic, of course.
I am making fun of SE posters like InvestorMan, HimWhoKnows, MMafia, etc., who were joyously calling for the country to go into a deeper recession.
"Stay home, do not spend your disposable income. This will force the country into a deeper recession and inevitably lower Manhattan housing prices."
That's a great idea. I always wanted to have a 25% unemployment rate and stand in soup lines every day!
Seriously, your an ignoramus. If we go int a depprer recesion or possibly a depresion, lower prices will not help you oen bit since you won't have a job! Plus, you won't be able to get a loan because either the banks will all go under or they will raise their standards so much that only Bill Gates will be able to get a mortgage!
