Discussion about HL23 at 515 West 23rd Street in West Chelsea
Have a great interest in this unique and beautiful building. To those in the know, what are you opinions and facts behind this building? Since 56 Leonard and a few others are being scrapped, is this the best unique place to attempt to get in on?
check out Enrique Norten's One York in Tribeca: www.oneyorkny.com Its already built and a quality project. Jury still out on HL23 as not selling well and looks like 2 years away from complete
yeah but one york is on canal street. west 23rd is so much nicer.
Thanks for the link BobNYC...amazing building! Not sure if Tribeca is an area I would be interested in though. But still...I need to 'investigate' further. Regarding the time line for HL23, I can wait a few years. From what I can see One York is an awesome structure. Thanks for your replies!!
one york is beautiful but whats going on there? They had that super-rich buyer walk away from like a 7 million dollar downpayment after he had them combine half the units or something like that...
I am a fan of HL23, and most architecturally interesting/daring new developments in the city for that matter. NY has missed out on that for far too long, and the last 6 or 7 years there have been a number of really beautiful new projects.
Check out 15 union square west.
I also like related's new superior ink project in the west village.
I love the automatic garage at One York. So amazing. It's a beautiful building but those ghetto visible HVAC units in the apartments really insulted me (even if they were kind of camouflaged).
HL23 is cuter, nicer finishings, nicer facade but not as many amenities as One York. And no, it's not 2 years away from completing - It's topped out and will be done within a year.
