Sale at 201 East 28th Street #9A

Hi Jennakenzie, I was at that bldg. 2 or 3 weeks ago. Went to look at 4D, which is a lot better deal that 9A (almost the same size for 150K less) The building is OK. The neighborhood is OK, clean and safe, but boring and corporate-like rather than lively. It's good for children in that PS116 is an excellent school, but is lacking in playgrounds and other infrastructure.

4D is something special!

the only area i'd diverge from tromp is that i think if you don't mind walking a few blocks, there are a couple of good playgrounds. (not that I know that you are looking for that). But there is a playground at St. Vaartans at 30th and 1st that is highly regarded(which is very close), and I loved the Madison Square one.

You won't find room sizes as large in similar buildings in the neighborhood or price range.

aboutready, thanks for the playground info. I was relaying what a woman I ran into at the OH told me, I don't know that area well. I live in the village right now (no hope of buying around here) and am spoiled in terms of playground availability.
