"foreclosures never happens in NY"

You're over reaching based on recent history. In the early 90's, there were 20 to 50 foreclosures a week.

30yrs, sarcasm.

I'd just add that unemployed people frequently CAN'T make their mortgage payments. Hopefully it won't get to the point where people are unemployed or grossly underemployed for long periods of time, with inadequate savings.

admin, maybe she had a NINJA loan!

"How long did that last? "

A couple of years +. But even taking a long period (1991 thru 2001) there was significant foreclosure activity in NYC (i.e. city wide greater than 100 per month, possibly greater than 200 per month - I'd have to go back and look at some records).

Moreover, she's like American royalty. We as a nation can't let this happen.

I believe Victoria Gotti used to write for the Post (my old paper) at one point -- the editor isn't very receptive to the idea of people leaving, and he's gonna keep this story alive as long as possible. It will be fun to watch how quickly it dies in the Daily News vs. how many follow-up stories there are in the Post.

Doesn't the Post lose like $100 million a year? How long until Rupert Murdoch has to write about his own foreclosure in the Post? LOL

Oh, Alan, you always crack me up. But, this time you speak the truth; she's like our Princess Di-not.
