Sale at 14 Sutton Place South #1B

I like it, it's very elegant & it would be fine as a one bedroom with occasional guests in the library/den; as a 2 bedroom, having to walk through the bedrooms to get to the bathroom is far from ideal. The area is lovely & the building is a very attractive Candela design.

The NYT ran photos of east end avenue and sutton place during the day and evening....during the day it's kids in school uniforms...during the evening completely dead.

julia -- you are correct -- at evening, the area is very quiet on sutton place -- very little commercial traffic and lovely. People are thrilled to have the respite that is lacking in so many other neighborhoods. First avenue has many restaurants and activities

drdrd: Did you look at 4A in the same building? Seems to have a better layout IMO, is not on the first floor, and has slightly lower CCs.

I haven't looked at this building. I love the area but I'm still not ready to start seriously looking to buy.

xellam is right. At same price I'd take 4th floor over 1st anytime. My guess is that 4th Fl may need more updating. Then again, bathrooms are not shown in either. Those sure are some window treatments in 1B, huh? Wonder what they're hiding.

I guess someone agreed with us, kylewest. 4A went into contract today.
