More than 1 month off in rent?

I've been looking in the UWS and Columbus circle area and pretty much all the management companies are offering 1 month off. Anyone successfully negotiate more than that off?

ask for two months, make it clear you're ready to commit and be ready to walk away if they say no. i would be shocked if you did this more than 5-6 times without getting one bite.
