Discussion about
Wondering if anyone has any suggestions for short term rentals for visiting family? Is there a great website out there that shows short term rental apartments with prices? I've tried Furnished Quarters (http://www.furnishedquarters.com/) but they don't post prices so its annoying to search for stuff on there.

I've used Vacation Rentals area of Craig's List for this very purpose. Huge selection from luxury to hostel.

craigslist has them. it will require a little work, but you can get a real deal.

i found a basement 1 br within 1 mile of my house for a steal.

I'd fear bedbugs with some of the Craigslist listings.

Here's a good bet for very nice, clean accommodations:

Depending on how well you like the relatives, you could follow the example of Vice President Biden and keep your guests in a hideaway behind a massive steel door secured by an elaborate lock with a narrow connecting hallway.

i've used platinum for work, and Oakwoods corporate housing. my oakwoods rep tells me that all prices in NYC are absolutely negotiable right now, and they have some very nice properties.
